USA - FLORIDA - ORLANDO : ORLANDO'S A PLAYGROUND FOR ADULTS TOO  Fine dining flourishes. First-rate shopping reigns. Nightclubs rock. And leisure escapes range from golf courses and water-ski excursions to art museums and full-service spas. Orlando may be a trendsetter for family fun, but it’s also a perfect playground for adults. Grown-up fun in Orlando can be as exciting as flying through the air with the wind beneath your parasail or as relaxing as a volcanic stone massage. It can be as exquisite as a four- or five-course dining delight or as laid-back as a cheeseburger in paradise. The Scenic Boat Tour in Winter Park takes passengers back in time as they cruise historic logging canals that connect the area’s charming chain of lakes. Art imitates nature within the area’s many museums, from The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art with its prized Tiffany glass and pre-Columbian collections to The Mennello Museum of American Art. Additional treasures beckon at the Orlando Museum of Art, the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens and the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College. Shopping is an art in itself in Central Florida, where a wealth of stores, boutiques and outlets cater to travelers. Winter Park welcomes shoppers to its own “Rodeo Drive” on Park Avenue, where upscale shops and trendy stores share the streetscape with cozy outdoor cafés. There’s always a hot ticket at House of Blues at Downtown Disney West Side or Hard Rock Live at Universal CityWalk. And visitors can find a club for every musical taste in downtown Orlando, whether it’s high-energy tunes at Wall Street Plaza, rock and blues at The Social or non-stop dance beats at Ybor’s Martini Bar. The curtain rises regularly on Central Florida theatrical and dance performances, and there’s no better place to begin than the critically acclaimed Cirque du Soleil’s “La Nouba” at Downtown Disney West Side.
