Ulysses S. Grant's Birthplace is at BATAVIA, east of Cincinnati where visitors can also see Chateau LaRoche, a medieval castle scale model built by one man over a period of 51 years.

CLEVELAND has more lakeshore than any metropolitan area in the world. 20 minutes from downtown Columbus, DUBLIN has an unusual Field of Corn – 109 massive concrete ears of corn; many of the buildings in Old Dublin Historic District are on the National Register of Historic Places.

GREENVILLE hosts the Annie Oakley Foundation which is dedicated to separating Oakley fact from fiction. Hocking Hills is the ideal location for romantic getaway weekends, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and family vacations.

The tree-lined streets of TOLEDO’s Historic Old West End have one of the nation’s richest collections of late Victorian houses; the Wolcott House Museum is the centerpiece of six furnished historic buildings; other Toledo attractions include the Adrian & Blissfield Railroad Co, the drive-through African Safari Wildlife Park, COSI Toledo science museum, Fort Meigs State Memorial, Sauder Farm & Craft Village, and the Toledo Museum of Art with more than 30,000 works.

Southwest of Toledo is DEFIANCE with the AuGlaize Village, a farm museum and historical village in the heartland of the Maumee River Valley.

South of Toledo in FINDLAY are some magnificent mansions stemming from the gas and oil boom of the 1880s.

Down the road is LIMA where space enthusiasts will find plenty of action at the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum.

TRUMBULL COUNTY has several historic districts including Mesopotamia Village, Ohio's 2nd and America's 4th largest Amish community.

The National McKinley Birthplace Memorial Library & Museum is at NILES, and The National Packard Museum in WARREN commemorates the birthplace of the first Packard motor-car, and the Packard family.

The Butler Institute of American Art in YOUNGSTOWN is the first structure built in the United States dedicated to house priceless works by American artists; other attractions include the War Vet Museum, the Loghurst Farm Museum built around 1805, and the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor. 

ZANESVILLE and MUSKINGUM COUNTY is home to the Longaberger Company Manufacturing Campus in Frazeysburg where its products (baskets, pottery, fabrics, home decor and home accessories) are each shown in a shopping area resembling a room in the visitor’s home; other attractions include the Ohio Ceramic Center in Crooksville which is devoted to the preservation of Pottery History, and The Wilds in Cumberland, which is concerned with preserving endangered animals.
