BOYNE COUNTRY represents Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne Falls, Boyne CIty, Conway and Wallon Lake areas of northwest lower Michigan where visitors can hunt for Michigan's state stone, the Petoskey Stone – chunks of fossilized coral thought to be 350 million years old; best hunting places are the beaches at Petoskey State Park and Magnus City Park.

CRYSTAL FALLS are more than 150 waterfalls across the Western Upper Peninsula, among them Bewabic State Park.

The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore scenic area with its multi-colored sandstone cliffs, beaches, sand dunes, waterfall, inland lakes, streams, forests and wildlife is near MUNISING in the Upper Peninsula.

Attractions in SAGINAW include the formal gardens of the Saginaw Art Museum, the Castle Museum of Saginaw County History, the Temple of Theater and the work of sculptor Marshall M. Fredericks in the Arbury Fine Arts Center at Saginaw Valley State University. Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, Michigan’s version of the Everglades, is nearby, and to the southeast is Michigan’s Little Bavaria, FRANKENMUTH which holds close to its German heritage and plays host to over 3-million visitors a year.

At SAULT SAINTE MARIE visitors can tour the Steamship Valley Camp and Tower of History with Le Sault de Sainte Marie Historical Sites to see the craftsmanship of early shipbuilders and pioneers and watch ocean-going freighters pass through the historic Soo Locks, the world's longest locks.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore at EMPIRE consists of over 30 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline plus the two Manitou Islands.
