One of the first canal towns on the Ohio & Erie Canal, AKRON has the Carriage Trade Farm & Museum in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and the National Inventors Hall of Fame science center.

CANTON’s place in history is as the home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but there’s also the Canton Classic Car Museum, the Maps Air Museum, and the President William McKinley Memorial and Museum.

Visitors can discover CINCINNATI’s rich heritage at four museums in the Cincinnati Museum Center and enjoy the fun of the waterfront at the Newport Aquarium, the Beach Waterpark and at Paramount's Kings Island theme park; Cincinnati is home to the American Classical Music Hall of Fame and attractions of historical significance are the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, the Heritage Village Museum, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, and the MainStrasse Village’s 19th-century village.

Ulysses S. Grant's Birthplace is at BATAVIA, east of Cincinnati where visitors can also see Chateau LaRoche, a medieval castle scale model built by one man over a period of 51 years.

CLEVELAND has more lakeshore than any metropolitan area in the world. The city is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, the Great Lakes Science Center, the Cleveland Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History; attractions include Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and RainForest, including a treehouse for climbing and exploring, Geauga Lake family amusement park, the NASA John Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field, where visitors can learn about the space program, and Cedar Point Amusement Park; for more outdoor activities there are Lake Farmpark and Mapleside Farms as well as the extensive Cleveland Metroparks.

COLUMBUS is a city of historic, restored neighborhoods and many attractions including the Ohio Historical Center featuring a recreated 1860s town, Ohio Statehouse, a replica of the Santa Maria, Columbus’ flagship, the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, and Wyandot Lake Adventure Park; visitors can explore the ocean depths and travel into outer space at COSI Columbus.

North of Columbus is DELAWARE where visitors can explore the Olentangy Indian Caverns, and just six miles southwest of Columbus is Grove City with its historic center.

DAYTON is the Birthplace of Aviation, and home to the powered-flight inventors Wilbur and Orville Wright; many of Dayton’s attractions reflect this, including the National Aviation Hall of Fame, the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, Carillon Historical Park, a collection of 22 buildings dedicated to the promotion and development of transportation, with a focus on the Wright brothers, and the US Air Force Museum which houses more than 300 aircraft. Archeologists believe the Miamisburg Mound is the work of the Adena Indians, who arrived about 1000 B.C. SunWatch Indian Village is a reconstructed Native American village that recreates the Fort Ancients' way of life.

20 minutes from downtown Columbus, DUBLIN has an unusual Field of Corn – 109 massive concrete ears of corn; many of the buildings in Old Dublin Historic District are on the National Register of Historic Places.

GREENVILLE hosts the Annie Oakley Foundation which is dedicated to separating Oakley fact from fiction. Hocking Hills is the ideal location for romantic getaway weekends, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and family vacations.

The outdoor art gallery in STEUBENVILLE has more than 26 giant murals on the sides of buildings; another attraction includes Fort Steuben which was built in 1787.

The tree-lined streets of TOLEDO’s Historic Old West End have one of the nation’s richest collections of late Victorian houses; the Wolcott House Museum is the centerpiece of six furnished historic buildings; other Toledo attractions include the Adrian & Blissfield Railroad Co, the drive-through African Safari Wildlife Park, COSI Toledo science museum, Fort Meigs State Memorial, Sauder Farm & Craft Village, and the Toledo Museum of Art with more than 30,000 works.

Southwest of Toledo is DEFIANCE with the AuGlaize Village, a farm museum and historical village in the heartland of the Maumee River Valley.

South of Toledo in FINDLAY are some magnificent mansions stemming from the gas and oil boom of the 1880s.

Down the road is LIMA where space enthusiasts will find plenty of action at the Neil Armstrong Air and Space Museum.
