In the BRANDYWINE VALLEY Longwood Gardens at Kennett Square is one of the the world's premier horticultural display gardens; other attractions are the Brandywine River Museum at Chadds Ford, and at West Chester the American Helicopter Museum.

The COOK FOREST State Park is one of the largest true primeval forests east of the Mississippi.

DOYLESTOWN attractions include the James A. Michener Art Museum. Near Doylestown at Lahaska the shops at Peddlers Village take visitors back to the 18th century.

The Bayfront District in ERIE is centered on Presque Isle Bay, a scenic harbor protected by Presque Isle State Park; the Erie Maritime Museum is the cornerstone of the revitalized bayfront; the Erie National Wildlife Refuge east of Meadville attracts more than 237 species of birds, and for children there’s the water slide at Waldameer Park and Water World.

GETTYSBURG is the site of the Gettysburg Battlefield, and the farm that President Dwight D. Eisenhower called home.

HARRISBURG ttractions include the State Capitol Building. which was inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and the John Harris/Simon Cameron Mansion, home of the founder of Harrisburg.

Near Harrisburg, HERSHEY, "The Sweetest Place on Earth", has grown from Milton S.
