The Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in ALLENTOWN has the country's longest elevated water slide. In BEDFORD Old Bedford Village preserves the way of life of the early settlers which can be relived at Fort Bedford Museum; other forts of interest in the Laurel Highlands region are Fort Ligonier, Bushy Run Battlefield and Fort Necessity.

A tour of historic BETHLEHEM includes the Moravian Museum of Bethlehem; families can spend a colorful afternoon at the Crayola Factory in Easton; one of the most popular attractions is the Delaware and LeHigh National Heritage Corridor of rivers, canals and historic towns.

While some of its street lights may be shaped like Zippo lighters, BADFORD is located in the Allegheny National Forest and is surrounded by forests, rivers and quaint historic towns.

HARRISBURG ttractions include the State Capitol Building. which was inspired by St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, and the John Harris/Simon Cameron Mansion, home of the founder of Harrisburg.

Near Harrisburg, HERSHEY, "The Sweetest Place on Earth", has grown from Milton S. Hershey's company town to an internationally known community, complete with a number of attractions including HersheyPark, Hershey's Chocolate World and ZooAmerica, a North American wildlife park. Just a few minutes away, railway buffs enjoy a scenic ride on the Middletown & Hummelstown Railroad.

INDIANA, "The Christmas Tree Capital of the World", also has the Jimmy Stewart Museum.

A 500-mile heritage tour route of JOHNSTOWN and Cambria County includes the infamous Johnstown Flood Museum and the Johnstown Flood National Memorial, and attractions like the Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum.

Located in the Valleys of the Susquehanna, STATE COLLEGE, the quintessential college town, is home to the American Philatelic Society and the Centre Furnace Mansion/County Historical Society.

The focal point of VALLEY FORGE (just 18 miles outside Philadelphia) is Valley Forge National Historical Park, a 3,600-acre expanse of rolling green hillsides with soldiers' huts and Washington's stone headquarters. There are more than a dozen Revolutionary War historic sites surrounding Valley Forge. Among the other attractions is the collection of French art at Barnes Foundation.
